Section 134
Salary and benefits of Commander-in-Chief

(1) The monthly salary of the Commander-in-Chief will be as fixed by the Government of Nepal.
(2) The Government of Nepal will deduct the reserve fund from the monthly salary of the Commander-in-Chief at the rate of hundreds of thousands of dollars and add 100 percent to that amount and deposit it in the reserve fund.
(3) A suitable house will be arranged by the Government of Nepal for the residence of the Commander-in-Chief who does not have a suitable house within the Kathmandu valley.
(4) Vehicles will be provided to the Commander-in-Chief from the Government of Nepal (5) After retiring from service, the Commander-in-Chief will receive a pension according to the prevailing rules regarding the pension of the Nepalese Army.
(6) The following family pension shall be given to the family of the Commander-in-Chief with one household:-
(a) In case of the death of the Commander-in-Chief while in office, a lump sum as prescribed by the Government of Nepal,
(b) In case of his death before nine years of starting to receive pension according to sub-section (5), the same amount for the period remaining until nine years.
(7) Notwithstanding anything written in sub-sections (5) and (6), no pension or family pension shall be granted for the period of holding the office as permanent commander-in-chief.
(8) The Commander-in-Chief will get the following leave with full pay every year:-
(a) Twenty days of leave to come,
(b) Home leave for forty-five days,
(c) Sick leave fifteen days.
(9) If the leave is not used in the same year, it will not be accumulated for the next year. Home leave will be accumulated for a maximum of forty-five days and sick leave will be accumulated for the duration of service. The Commander-in-Chief will receive the accrued home leave and sick leave on retirement.
(10) The Commander-in-Chief will be able to take his own casual leave and will have to get his home leave and sick leave approved by the Defense Minister.
(11) The Government of Nepal may call the Commander-in-Chief back to work without paying leave.
